16th April 2013 - Panama Bay protection reinstated

The Bay of Panama, a Globally Important Bird Area had its protection reinstated by the Panamanian Supreme Court a year after this had been suspended. The Bay supports 30% of the population of Western Sandpiper,  as well as significant numbers of other wetland species. Read in full here.
