The Observatory building is situated right beside north harbour and therefore in an idyllic spot with easy access to the main facilities and centre of the island. Also an easy walk to a number of the main birdwatching hot spots.
The building was completely modernised in 2000, has central heating and can take seven guests on a self-catering basis. Staying visitors have the use of the extensive library, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom facilities and bed linen is provided. There are three bedrooms, a twin, a small single and a 'family'/group room with four beds. Where single people are sharing a room, we endeavour to keep the rooms as single sex but in the busy periods this is not always possible.
Pricing is €25 per night or €22 per night if a member of BirdWatch Ireland.
