Saturday 25 November: Joint outing with the Limerick Branch to Curraghchase Forest Park to look for Jay, Brambling, Hawfinch, Buzzard, Red Squirrel, etc. Meet in the forest park car park, 9.30am.
Saturday 2 December: Outing to Ballyallia Lake near Ennis. Great inland lake providing good views of a variety of birds. Meet at the birdboard opposite Lake Stores at 11.00am.
Saturday 27 January: A visit to Seafield, Quilty, to see waders and seabirds. Good site for Purple Sandpiper. Meet at the pier, Seafield, at 11.00am.
Note: The Clare Branch of BirdWatch Ireland is looking for reports of Yellowhammers anywhere in the county, but especially in the Burren. Numbers of breeding pairs have fallen considerably in recent years; their remaining stronghold is in the north and east of the Burren.
