Note: The Clare Branch of BirdWatch Ireland is looking for reports of Yellowhammers anywhere in the county, but especially in the Burren. Numbers of breeding pairs have fallen considerably in recent years; their remaining stronghold is in the north and east of the Burren. Numbers could be as low as 40 pairs but your observations will give a more accurate picture; please go to www.clarebirdwatching.com to report your sightings. Many thanks.
