Wednesday 21 February: Are Irish birds reacting to climate change? Tom Cooney looks at the situation. Botanic Gardens Auditorium, 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm, car park open).


Saturday 24 February: Outing to Dundalk Bay and other sites on Louth coast. Meet at Botanic Gardens, 9.00am, or Dundalk Port, 10.15am. Call Dermot if you need a lift.


Wednesday 14 March: The return of the White-tailed Eagle to Lough Derg after 100 years, by Robert Foyle. Botanic Gardens Auditorium, 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm, car park open).


Saturday 24 March: Visit to Wexford Slobs. Meet Botanic Gardens at 8.30am or Drinagh Court Hotel (Farmer's Kitchen) at 10.30am. Call Dermot if you need a lift. Note date, as our regular St Patrick's Day trip will not be held this year.


Wednesday 18 April: Birds and habitats of the Cooley Mountains, Co Louth, covering wildlife, geography and conservation, by Derek Watters. Botanic Gardens Auditorium, 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm, car park open).


Saturday 21 April: Visit to Slieve Bloom Mountains for Hen Harriers. Meet Botanic Gardens at 8.30am or Kinnity village, 10.00am. Call Dermot if you need a lift.


Wednesday 16 May: Rare and scarce birds of Cape Clear, by Peter Phillips, Curator of Birds and Small Mammals, Dublin Zoo. Botanic Gardens Auditorium, 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm, car park open).


Saturday 19 May: Visit to Glendalough and Wicklow woodlands. Meet Botanic Gardens at 9.00am or Glendalough Upper Lake car park at 10.15am. Call Dermot if you need a lift.
