Sunday 24 February: The history and folklore of the birds of Connacht, by Fintan Masterson. Also: 25 years of the Irish Wetland Bird Survey, by Brian Burke. North Mayo Heritage Centre, Enniscoe (near Crossmolina), 1.00pm (with break for refreshments).

Followed by Mayo Branch AGM and events planning meeting, 3.15pm. This will be an informal meeting, a chance to catch up with other birders, help plan events and share sightings and other information. Finish around 4.30pm. All welcome. We especially extend the invitation to members in Mayo; however, we welcome members and non-members. Event is free of charge, but there may be a small charge for tea/coffee, etc.

The North Mayo Heritage Centre is 3.5 km south of Crossmolina on R315 to Laherdaun, Pontoon. Please use the second entrance, as marked. The event will be held in the 'cowshed' behind the centre.
