Tuesday 13 February: Birdwatching with your eyes closed – an Interactive birdsong workshop for anyone who would like to learn how to distinguish between the songs and calls that you are likely to hear in your garden or on walks in the park or woods. Glenview Hotel, 8.00pm.
Saturday 17 February: Annual Wicklow County Bird Race. Meet at 7.00am (for team registration) at car park, south end of Bray promenade. Race starts 7.15am (sharp) and finishes 6.45pm at the Beehive Inn (on N11 south of Rathnew). Teams of 3-4 people per car, €5 per person.
Sunday 25 February: Outing to Rogerstown estuary, Dublin. Meet at Turvey Park car park, Donabate, 10.00am.
Tuesday 13 March: Mute Swans: nesting, breeding, dispersal and survival, by Graham Prole, with particular focus on the swans of Bray Harbour. A photo-presentation detailing the work of the Irish Midlands Ringing Group’s Mute Swan monitoring project in the greater Dublin region. Glenview Hotel, 8.00pm.
Saturday 24 March: Outing to Kilcoole for early spring migrants and late winter visitors. Meet at Kilcoole train station car park, 10.00am.
Tuesday 10 April: The Land of the Rising Sun, by BirdWatch Ireland’s Niall Hatch. Stories from his trips to Japan, including encounters with Steller's Sea Eagles and the gorgeous Red-crowned Cranes. Glenview Hotel, 8.00pm.
Saturday 21 April: Outing to Tomnafinnoge Wood. Meet in main car park at north end of wood near Tinahely, 10.00am.
